When you start creating reactions in your account we will first ask you to create a goal.
Because goals help you focus on what you want your reactions to accomplish, and help measure the effectiveness of your reactions.
Every Reaction you create will be attributed to a goal and measured towards it. You will see how the goal was improved as a whole, and how each reaction contributed individually.
There are five types of goals to choose from:
Select a specific page on the site (or specific path) and every unique visit to that page will be counted as a goal complete.
Note - Once the visitor reaches this page, the goal is considered "completed" and reactions associated with the goal will not be triggered any more (within that session).
- When should this be used? Use this goal type when you can identify a unique "Thank You" or "Confirmation" page (after the user made a purchase, downloaded a resource, registered on the site, etc.)
This simply tracks how many visitors fill out a form on the site.
- When should this be used? Use this goal type when your goal is to increase form submits and the user is not directed to a unique "Thank You" or "Confirmation" page. This applies to any form (registration, checkout, etc.)
Select a video on the site, and each unique video view will be counted as a goal complete.
Note - Currently this is only available for YouTube videos.
- When should this be used? Use this goal type when your goal is to increase video views (promotional videos, tutorials, etc.)
This goal should be used when you want to capture user's information from within a reaction. You can capture the visitor's name, email address and comment. Watch this video to see how to use this type of goal.
- When should this be used? Use this goal type when you want to generate more leads (sign up for a newsletter or blog, open gated resources, ask for feedback, etc.)
This allows any action on the site to serve as a goal. A small JS snippet will be generated by the system, and must be implemented on the site, so it fires when the action has been taken.
- When should this be used? Use this goal type when your goal is a specific action on the site, like clicking a “buy now” button, downloading a resource or subscribing to the newsletter.
